    Automatic Shutter - Broan 433

The Broan Automatic Shutter allows for more air movement than conventional stationary attic louvers. Counter-balanced aluminum vanes open automatically on the attic fan when ventilator is turned on and close when attic fan stops. The Broan Automatic Shutter flange fits flush against outside wall for neat, smooth appearance. Reinforced for strength; the attic fan provides weather tight closure.

    Good shutter

    Cons:
This shutter covers a automatic vent fan used to ventilate the crawl space under our house. The fan is on timer and operates for approximately 8 hours/day. Previously the shutters I have used were produced by the fan manufacturer and were plastic. They only worked for about 8 months and then fell apart. I had replaced them 5 times. The Broan shutter is metal (aluminum) and appears to be well made and operates smoothly. So far I will give it 5 stars..... We will see how long it will last.

Fit was perfect and shuts great....used this with the gable mounted

Broan fan....great combination. Used minimal caulk for a nice seal to the

    exterior wall.

When we had plastic ones all we heard was bang bang bang. Now we hardly hear these. We like them so much we invested in back up in case these go bad.
